Description
January 2018, we visited the mid north coast, New South Wales, Australia. During our few days rest, we visited some friends early one morning at Macksville by the Nambucca River. It was so quiet and peaceful with the fluffy cumulus clouds reflecting on the calm water. What a place to enjoy a coffee by the old Macksville Bridge.

Macksville is a popular destination for fishing and boating. Next to the meandering Nambucca River, the town is on the mid North Coast of NSW. In the Coffs Harbour region, the town is a good place to take a break on your road journey with an overnight stop.
The Nambucca River Tourist Park is on the banks of the gorgeous river and has caravan and camping sites as well as self-contained cabins. You can practice your golf swing at the Nambucca River Golf Driving Range, open seven days. A short drive west from Macksville is The Pub With No Beer, at Taylors Arm, the pub made famous by country music singer Slim Dusty's hit song with the same name, 'A Pub With No Beer'.
