This is one of my photographs of an old stairway leading into the back of a beautiful old church, situated at Wahroonga, New South Wales, Australia. This stairway is no longer used as it is too old and unsafe, but I just loved the old feel and texture this image gives.
The initial building of this church at Pearce's Corner, Wahroonga, was erected in 1862 and was a simple wooden building which was replaced by the current stone building in 1881 as the area became more settled. Further enlargement took place in 1900.
Such a beautiful church not far from my home. It is so nice to see that some of these heritage sites still remain for us to view and enjoy their facilities.
