The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Image captured 5th December, 2014 shortly after a thunderstorm. You may notice some water droplets still resting on the palm frond.
Recently in Sydney we have been having our normal warm to hot start to summer, but with more humidity than usual for this time of year which has been producing many storms in the past week or so.
The skies became golden after the storm had passed and the sun came bursting through the silhouetted palm frond with beautiful golden skies behind.
