Description
I captured this photo of these vibrant Clivias in my garden in the north of Sydney, NSW, Australia.
A cluster of vibrant orange Clivia flowers with trumpet-shaped blooms, each featuring yellow stamens at the center. The flowers are surrounded by long, broad, green leaves with a textured surface. They are herbaceous or evergreen perennial plants.
[Courtesy Wikipedia] Clivia is a genus of monocot flowering plants native to southern Africa. They are from the family Amaryllidaceae, subfamily Amaryllidoideae. Common names are Natal lily or bush lily.
Individual flowers occur in umbels on a stalk above the foliage; colors typically range from yellow through orange to red. Many cultivars exist, some with variegated leaf patterns.
