**ACHIEVED 1ST PLACE IN FAA CONTEST - 'LOTUS FLOWER COLLECTION' February 2014

I visted a Waterlily farm not long ago, and was amazed to find these beautiful tall Lotus lilies in bloom. They are so beautiful, and when the petals fall, it leaves the centre of the stamen which resembles a shower rose.
Apparently the seed pods can be cracked open and the seeds eaten raw, and the younger leaves can also be eaten raw or cooked as can the roots.
