Hello Kaye! Oh, I love this one! I find the little bug the crowning touch. (BTW, I am so happy there is a tiny little bug on my Lotus; it adds an extra touch of life.) The repeating shapes lead the eye through the whole composition, making it "more" than a dahlia. The lighting is great, as well. f/v and Best regards, Kirsten

Just love this very finely done macro shot, Kaye! The floral petals are so gorgeous, with the light shining through the backside, the colors are sublime, and the little green critter on the floral is just icing on the cake! fave and vote and tweet and FB and g+1 on this masterpiece of natural beauty!
