{From Sydney Cove Oyster Bar site]
When it comes to dining by the water's edge, Sydney Cove Oyster Bar is unique. No other CBD restaurant can offer the combination of postcard-perfect views of the city skyline, Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge and the seductive splash of the sea, teamed with a menu of the freshest shucked-to-order oysters, Australian seafood and local, seasonal produce.
This year, Sydney Cove Oyster Bar marks its 25th anniversary: we opened on Australia Day 1988 and have been steered by the same management ever since. While we serve on average 15,000 dozen oysters a year, there's much more to us than oysters.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel through arch bridge across Sydney Harbour that carries rail, vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The dramatic view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is an iconic image of Sydney, New South Wales, and Australia. The bridge is nicknamed "The Coathanger" because of its arch-based design.
