Kirsten, thank you so much for your thoughts here, and v/f. When I was young, my father used to play 78's... and it was like the whole house would BOP! I loved them. Yes, remember all the other sizes as well. I really wish I had kept some. There is one 78 that sticks in my mind that my father had called "THE THING" .... you'll never get rid of that d.d.d........

Hello Kaye! How neat! At least there are a few of us on FAA who do remember 78s! LOL. The sounds were really quite great, especially the music itself. I remember with fondness the old 45s as well. And then the--WOW--33s! I understand a lot of people still prefer vinyls, and have great sound systems to play them. The thrift shops are so full of cool 33s I am often tempted to buy some--even if only for those spectacular covers! f/v Kirsten
